SIMPLIFIED PRODUCTION POSTING: PRODUCTION JOURNAL

There are different function to post production order output:
- The Output Journal
- The Production Journal
- Time Registration System
Some companies only require a very simple system to define the output and scrap quantities, and the product lot number.
For these needs, we created a new simplified production order output page, available from the menu and optimized to use with the web and tablet client.
Setup
A simplified item journal needs to be created in the table item journal templates.
Also a batch needs to be added for this Item Journal, we do this by going to the navigate tab on the template list.
Execution
A new page is made available in Business Central called Simplified Output Journal.
Now a whole flow for the output journal is described, so all the functionalities of the Simplified Output Journal are explained:
All the released production orders will be shown in the Simplified Output Journal.
The production order is now visible in the simplified Output Journal
Now the output journal can be filled in with:

Now the output journal can be filled in with:
- Quantity to post : output you actually produced in the meantime.
- Quantity to scrap: the actual scrap you produced in the meantime.
- Scrap Code: the type of scrap you produced.
- Setup Time : the time it takes to prepare and setup a job (prior to the process or machine is running).
- Run time: the time it take to produce a certain quantity.
When posting this journal line the following result is shown in the "Simplified Output Journal".
A new field Finished is also added, when this is checkbox is ticked, it’s not possible to post anything anymore for this production order.
