Unit of Measure Setup
If nothing filled in, the quantity on the source lines is used. Second possibility is to use a Unit of Measure from the item. Eg., could oil be sold in bins of 5 liters. A tax must be charge per liter. Therefore, Unit of Measure must be liters in the BTA agreement line and the item must have been setup with the unit of measure 5 liters = 1 sales unit.
Alternatively, a unique unit of measure can be set up per BTA agreement. This is done by selecting the BTA unit of measure setup. The setup contains the BTA agreement code, Item No, Base Item Unit Of Measure, Unit Of Measure and Quantity Per Unit Of Measure Base which needs to be specified. The Base Item Unit Of Measure should be set to Sales Unit, Unit Of Measure to liters and Quantity Per Unit Of Measure Base to 5. With this setup BTA knows, that one sales unit of oil bin is the same as 5 liters. This could also be used to build in Unit Of Measure which normally is not part of an item number, but is needed for at specific BTA agreement line or agreement.
