This exercise will help you to get a better understanding of the DBusiness Central Accelerator App. The exercise can be performed in the CRONUS DIT DEMO company.

Note

Create a copy of this company to keep your CRONUS DIT DEMO in the original state. In the copy you can do all the exercises that are included in the training.

Exercise 3 – Dimension enhancements​

First, verify the General Ledger Setup:​

• Business Central offers 2 Global and 8 Shortcut Dimensions.​
• Choose the Change Global & Shortcut Dimensions action. Here you see that there are 10 Shortcut Dimensions available. The 9 and 10 are added by BCA and behave the same as the eight from the standard.​

Our customers that are part of the customer group DRINKS are always a Wholesaler in our channels:​

• Can you link them in the Dimensions Page?​
• Create a new Customer​
  • Select DRINKS in the Business Group Code field​
  • Does your Customer Group Code field show 260 (Wholesalers)?​

The Finance Department wants a DEPARTMENT Dimension on Software expenses​

• Create the setup on the account​
• Create a purchase invoice with that account. Do you see the FactBox?
