Properties

Business Central Accelerator provides the possibility to add properties to the Sales Flow. This can be a useful tool to collect additional information on the documents.

Setup

1. Choose the search icon, enter Property Setup.
2. Enable the fields Show Property Fasttab on Master Data and Show Properties on Master Data List.
3. Add all the table ID's within the Sales Flow in the Property Calc. Method
4. Choose the search icon, enter Properties.
5. Choose the New action to add a new property
6. Enter a Table ID, Code, Name, Property Type, Property Group and the shortcut No.*

  • It is possible to enter an unlimited number of Properties.`

  • Add all the table ID's you want to use in your Sales Flow

  • Create Property Groups. Don't forget to select the right Property Flow.

  • However similar to dimensions, there are only a limited number of properties that are direct visible on the Master data card page or list page. These are called Shortcut No., and they must be set up in the properties.

Note

It is very important to assign first the Shortcut Property Codes before entering Property Values if this is according the Property Type.

  • Available property types are:

    • Code-list (you need to setup the property values, see step 7)
    • Code
    • Text
    • Date
    • Decimal
    • Integer
  • After the setup is finished the Property Values can be created.

7. Choose the Related Action and select Property and Property Values
8. Create a Code and Name
9. Choose the Related Action and select Property and Property Translations if you want to use translations

Execution

1. Choose the search icon, enter Customers. .
2. Select the Customer for which you want to enter a Property
3. Choose the Properties fastTab to add the property or choose the Process Action and select Master Data Properties
4. Select the desired Property Value. The Shortcut properties can be easily filled in.
5. Choose the search icon, enter Sales Orders.
6. Choose the New Action and select your Customer
7. Choose the Process Action and select Properties. You see that the Property is taken from your Customer Card.
8. Select a Property in the Sales Order

You need to add the Property Fields to the Business Central Accelerator fastTab by Personalize

9. Choose the Action Action and select Warehouse and Create Warehouse Shipment.
10. The Properties are copied from the Sales Order.
11. On the Warehouse Shipment you can also add a property

12. Check the Properties on the Posted Sales Shipment.
